We are delighted to welcome you to the 2019 SPE Middle East Oil & Gas Show and Conference (MEOS).
Over the last 40 years, MEOS has become a leading event in the oil and gas industry. MEOS 2019 is being held from 18–21 March at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre in the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister of Bahrain. This event marks the 21st anniversary of MEOS, building on years of successful and growing interactions between industry and technical leaders, the rich exchange of knowledge, and a 12,000 sqm exhibition of the latest technological advances, all in the centre of a region leading the world in energy supply.
The MEOS conference theme this year is” Resilience through Talent and Technology Transformation”. Resilience in the oil and gas industry has played a pivotal role—staying the course while dealing with the implications of a long-lasting low-oil-price environment. This is through focusing on reducing and optimising production costs and enhanced ways of working.
Looking to the future, however, there are a variety of views and considerations on what the next phase of resilience in the industry might look like. Resilience could be technologically driven through adaptation of fourth industrial revolution opportunities to enhance performance. Or it could be commercially driven through better integration across all value chain components from upstream through downstream to the end consumer.
High-quality technical papers will be presented through technical sessions over the 4 days of the event. In addition to ministerial and executive plenary sessions targeting influential industry leaders and professionals in the oil and gas industry, along with top IOCs, NOCs and service companies, there will be 6 panel sessions covering exciting topics in the industry.
A 3-day exhibition takes place alongside the conference from 19–21 March featuring exhibitors from all over the globe, along with other highly informative events such as Young Members Activities, Women’s Workshop, Seminars and SPE Energy Summit.
The diverse and rich technical programme of MEOS 2019 will provide you with valuable and career-enhancing experiences that will both broaden your knowledge and provide unique business and networking opportunities.
We hope you enjoy MEOS 2019 and wish you a pleasant stay in Bahrain!
